CE certifications
According to EU directive 94/25, boats with a length from 2,50 m to 24 m that have been brought into the EU and put into service after 15. June 1998 must comply with the German tenth Ordinance to the Equipment and Product Safety Act (GPSG). This means that the boats must meet the construction and equipment provisions of the EU. This special regulation applies to new as well as used boats. In this case, the date of the boat being imported into EU is taken into consideration rather than the date of manufacture. According to § 4a of the Inland Waterway Vessels Ordinance, a boat without the relevant CE certification may not be taken into service. In case of a violation of this law, a large fine may be charged or the boat may even be confiscated. This also applies when you take your boat to coastal waters of the North or East Sea. We can let you know whether and to what extent your boat meets the requirements. If your boat needs to be CE certified under EU guidelines, we are the right partner to help you. We are looking forward to hearing from you.
